By accessing or using QuickPlate ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use QuickPlate. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age.

2. Account Registration

• You must sign in with Google or Apple to use QuickPlate
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You agree to provide accurate information
• One account per person is permitted
• You may not share your account with others

3. Acceptable Use

You MAY:

• Use QuickPlate for personal nutrition tracking
• Share your nutrition summaries on social media
• Export your data for personal use

You MAY NOT:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to hack, exploit, or abuse the Service
• Upload malicious content or attempt to harm other users
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without permission
• Scrape, automate, or reverse engineer the Service
• Impersonate others or provide false information

4. Intellectual Property

• QuickPlate and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by QuickPlate and are protected by intellectual property laws
• You retain ownership of your food logs and personal data
• You grant us a license to process your data to provide the Service
• We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the app for personal purposes

5. AI-Generated Content

• Food nutrition information is provided by AI analysis
• AI-generated data is for informational purposes only
• Accuracy may vary depending on food descriptions provided
• You assume the risk of relying on AI-generated nutrition data

6. Subscriptions and Payments

• QuickPlate may offer subscription plans with additional features
• Subscription terms and pricing will be clearly displayed before purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• You can manage your subscription through your device's app store settings
• Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store and Google Play Store policies

7. Free Trial

• New users may be eligible for a 7-day free trial
• Full access to premium features during the trial period
• No payment required during the trial
• After the trial, you may continue with basic features or subscribe

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if:

• You violate these Terms
• You abuse or misuse the Service
• Required by law

You may terminate your account by:

• Deleting your account in the app (Profile → Delete Account)
• All your data will be permanently deleted upon account termination

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

• We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated nutrition data
• We are not liable for any health outcomes based on using the Service
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• Use the Service at your own risk

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the past 12 months
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• We are not liable for data loss - please export your data regularly

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QuickPlate and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United Kingdom, unless you are entitled to bring claims in your local jurisdiction under applicable consumer protection laws.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top
• Providing notice through the app for significant changes

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
